CIOB Benevolent Fund

Whether you’re starting your career, midway through professional life or retired, you may need some support to get back on your feet. This is where the Benevolent Fund can help.

What we do

The construction industry presents many challenges to the professionals working within it. The Benevolent Fund is a service available to support all CIOB members and their dependent families. The Fund is also available to help CIOB staff and their dependent families. If you are facing concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us. Whether you are concerned about work, housing, money or any other issues, we are here to help and advise.

…pass on my heart-felt thanks to the Trustees and members in helping me overcome an insurmountable problem. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

We teamed up with Anxiety UK in January 2020 to provide specialised support to CIOB members living with anxiety, stress or anxiety-based depression. This brilliant service is available to all CIOB members and dependent families.

Support will take the form of holistic wellbeing assessments, leading to a personalised treatment plan, which can include accessing psychological therapy services.

If you think you would benefit from this service, reach out to us today. We will refer you to Anxiety UK and you will be contacted within 2-5 days.

We remind members that the CIOB Benevolent Fund provides support and advice for members. It is accessible to anyone who either is or has at any time been a member of the CIOB and their dependent families.

We understand that during this difficult time, more than ever people will need support. Please be aware that our partner Anxiety UK has a variety of support available in these times of uncertainty that can be accessed here by any of our members regardless of membership duration.

Donate to the CIOB Benevolent Fund

The Benevolent Fund has been created almost entirely through the generous donations of members, either through subscriptions or various fundraising events. We are grateful for any donation you can give. Your money goes towards helping the people that really need it.
